INDIGO
The sun was low in the sky as the pale ivory she-wolf made her way through the lands. The ice-crusted snow cracked and crunched lightly under her round, dainty paws. Smiling to herself, Indigo loped across the lands and sniffed the air as it twisted and turned past her nose. Her pale blue orbs searched the land before her in an arc. Pausing, Indigo smelled a rabbit nearby and instantly went on the alert. She flicked her auds forward and picked out in what direction it was and then she turned to her right and loped toward the rabbit. Soon, its fluffy white frame came into view.
Stopping once more, Indigo gauged her options. Seeing her best chance, she stalked the rabbit carefully, splaying her paws to reduce the crunching of the snow. The rabbit continued to eat, unawares of the wolf creeping up on him. Smirking Indi got within five yards of the rabbit before it took off, a couple bounds, the fluffy white rabbit became dyed with red. Indi’s hunt was successful. She bolted the rabbit quickly and then loped onward. It was only a few moments and she was stopping again, but this time it was for the scent of a claim.
Sniffing about for a few moments, Indi stopped, sat in the thin snow. She wrapped her tail around her paws and then raised her cranium to the sky and parted her jaws and sent a hauntingly beautiful melody ringing into the heart of the territory. Closing her jaws then, she cut off her cry and then she listened as her voice faded into the distance. Now all she had to do was play the waiting game. She lowered her crania then and her pale blue pools scanned the horizon for any signs of movement and her auds flicked back and forth to pick up any sounds of approach.
