He bounded after her, usually that would make Sacred happy, and proud of her self. But today it only made her anger increase. "Don't be like that, babe. It's not fair on my half. I didn't know," A wave of anger flashed in her, but instead of saying anything, Sacred picked up her pace. "I have issues with females, because they hide what they're feeling. I can't read that well, babe. Just play it straight out," He had caught up to her now, his voice basically pleading. She whipped around and faced him. "I'm not playing a game anymore! Not hiding what I feel!" Her voice rising as her anger builds, "I don't care what you think! What your really doing, is pissing me off. Is that straight forward enough for you?" Standing there waiting for his reply, Sacred takes a couple deep breathes, calming herself. She doesn't want to go into hysteria well talking to him, her eyes return to there normal shine, with only a edge of anger. As an after thought Sacred adds. "And knock it off with the babe, you aren't having a fun time with me."
Remus was about to give up when the she-devil spun around, looking as though she was about to pull off his ears. He shrunk back, his softer side showing. "I'm not playing a game anymore! Not hiding what I feel! I don't care what you think! What you're really doing, is pissing me off. Is that straightforward enough for you?" Her voice was raising, getting louder as her rage flew. Remus shrunk back. He didn't care anymore either. She could think he was a hopeless pup. Anger burnt through his chest. "Listen, Sacred," he growled, pushing higher up, standing tall, "We both play the same game. You're good at it. I'm not going to judge you. I'm just trying to play back. So whether you're ready or not, if you think you can play with me, you better prepare for it to come right back," His eyes were burning, his sides heaving. He hardly heard her last words as a few tears filled his eyes, and he turned away quickly. She was too much like many other wolves, like a certain heir, a certain maiden. His eyes closed as he took off into the trees.
the past is a wonderful place to visit, but not to stay
He yelled back. That's what Sacred noticed most, his words left a hollowed sting. Why was he shrinking away? Although the question confused her, it also gave her a horrible sense of satisfaction. All of a sudden, his eyes shone with tears, her turned around and flew into the forest. Bewilderment shoked Sacred into a statue state, when her limbs agreed to work again, she used long strides to search for Remus. She searched with a ferious determination. Spotting his form, Sacred calmly and slowly walked up to him. Silently sat beside him, and looked off into the forest. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have blown up like that....It's just..It's just that..I'm afraid of water," Sacred turns her head and looks at Remus, her voice soft and slightly ashamed," It terrifies me....So when you tried to push me in the river, I was petrified. I know you were just trying to joke around and I'm sorry" Sacred looks over at Remus, tilting her head slightly. She avoids looking at his face, trying to save him from embarrasment.
Remus continued to run, but stopped eventually. Just as he did, he heard Sacred racing through the forest after him. He sat down and stared away from her approaching figure. She sat beside him and looked away from him. She spoke.
"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have blown up like that....It's just..It's just that..I'm afraid of water. It terrifies me....So when you tried to push me in the river, I was petrified. I know you were just trying to joke around and I'm sorry"
Sacred's voice was slightly ashamed, and her voice was soft. Remus turned to look at her.
"I'm sorry Sacred. If you had just told me, I would've stopped,"
His voice was a quiet murmur, and displayed shame that he hadn't realized.
the past is a wonderful place to visit, but not to stay
Sacred looked away, her facial expression soft, and young looking. Her multi-coloured eyes studied the ground. "I didn't want you to think I was a coward..." taking a deep breath, Sacred turns her head and looks Remus in the eye, "I thought you would nag me about it." Sitting up taller, Sacred regains some control. She looks out into the forest again, and tries to figure out what to say, how to ask about the saddness that had enveloped Remus's eyes. "What's wrong?" Her voice still like wind chimes, but filled with concern.
Remus watched Sacred's body language, and realized she was ashamed of her fear. Her eyes studied the ground, and he glanced down, deciding there was nothing that interesting to study down there.
"I didn't want you to think I was a coward... I thought you would nag me about it."
Sacred's voice was confessing, but soft as well. She sat up taller, as though she just earned a boost of confidence. Remus smiled. Confidence is a key to getting what you want, and sometimes it intimidates other's, which can be good.
"Of course not. Fear is not something to be joked about, babe. I fear a lot, and I would kill someone if they were to make fun of me about it. Everyone fears,"
His voice was soft. He sounded so aged, so ancient. He took a side-glance at Sacred, and then stared out into the forest. This was actually interesting for him. He remembered when Shira had injured his paw, and he helped her, took care of her in the oasis. He was very matured then, too. What was happening to him? What was changing him, altering him so drastically? Perhaps it was Shira, his true friend? Had she changed him, by making him responsible? His questions were endless, but he knew they would be answered as time went on.
"What's wrong?"
Sacred's voice broke his train of thought, like water crashing through a dam. He turned to her, and looked at her in confusion. What was she talking about? There was no way she couldn't had seen his face. He had been looking into the forest, and so was she.
"What do you mean?"

"Of course not. Fear is not something to be joked about, babe. I fear a lot, and I would kill someone if they were to make fun of me about it. Everyone fears," Sacred held a small smile upon her maw when Remus confessed this, and said it was okay. Where did the player Remus go? Even when he called her babe, it didn't seem he was fully committed to it..What had changed?
"What do you mean?" His voice filled with confusion, and a hint of panic. Why did he mind if she saw him upset? He had just told her it was okay to fear, somethung was off about him though. Sacred looked over at him with a soft, yet obvious expression, as if saying "Don't try and deny it." "You looked really sad, and alone." just to let him no that she meant to help, Sacred added, "You helped me, I figure it's time I try and help you.." Her eyes studied his face, her orbs, looking beneath his hansome facade, as if looking into his soul.
Remus was watching Sacred as she smiled at his very aged response. He smirked. Obviously she would notice his strange maturity.
"You looked really sad, and alone. You helped me, I figure it's time I try and help you.."
Remus raised his eyebrows, and stared at her for a moment. He was frustrated now, with Sacred, for being so observant.
"Honestly? Nothing. It's just that I was thinking of my really good friend,"
His voice was soft again as he thought of Shira, and Matilda. Although they both started off as games, he bonded with them quite a bit. But Matilda was the first wolf that had rejected him so thoroughly, and might as well had stabbed him in the back. He shook his head at the thought. She was a lot like Sacred, but Sacred had a good side to her, something sweet that made Remus think they could possibly be friends.

She could see the frustration building in his eyes. Sacred knew it was because she didn't miss many details. It was a gift most thought, until it was used against them.."Honestly? Nothing. It's just that I was thinking of my really good friend," Remus answered. Sacred raised her eyebrows and added a non-believing expression to go along with it. His voice and glowing orbs gave him away, Why was everyone so easy to read? A challenge would be nice..Sacred thought to herself. "A good friend, obviously female, hmm..I don't know can your heart break?" Sacred teased, then thought better of it and added, "What happened? Did she pass?" Her voice was soft and turned kind.
"When her father tries to kill me, and she aides him," Not much can surprise Sacred, but what Remus snapped did, her eyes wide with surprise, she whipped her head around and stared at him with shocked eyes. "He tried to kill you, and she helped! No offense but I don't think it was meant to be."
"No! What about you? Have you ever had your heart broken?" Remus questioned. Sacred's eyes, filled with sorrow and a sad smile appeared on her maw.
"Only once was it shattered...." Emotion clouded her voice, "When I was a pup, my family died in a raging current, and if that didn't kill them, the fall from the waterfall did...One of my brothers, Nickel, saved me but gave up his life in the process...He was the one I loved the most in my family..."
What was wrong with her? Girl up! She straightened, took a deep breath and continued.
"I've never really let anyone else get to close to me after that..Once when I was young and nieve, I let a boy in..I knew I shouldn't have, but I thought he was different. The next thing I know, my heart i left in the dust. He turned away from me like I was the plague, and went off with my best friend. Your only the second person I've ever told.." With a look over at him, her face hardened, "I hate pity, and I knew that's what people would give me."
"He tried to kill you, and she helped! No offense but I don't think it was meant to be."
Sacred's voice was filled with shock. Remus raised his eyebrows. Then, Sacred began to tell her own tale.
"Only once was it shattered... When I was a pup, my family died in a raging current, and if that didn't kill them, the fall from the waterfall did...One of my brothers, Nickel, saved me but gave up his life in the process...He was the one I loved the most in my family..."
Her voice was quiet, but she took another breath, and Remus kept quiet as he listened to her.
"I've never really let anyone else get to close to me after that..Once when I was young and naive, I let a boy in..I knew I shouldn't have, but I thought he was different. The next thing I know, my heart i left in the dust. He turned away from me like I was the plague, and went off with my best friend. Your only the second person I've ever told.."
Remus nodded. He didn't say anything. She turned to look at him, face and eyes hard.
"I hate pity, and I knew that's what people would give me."
Remus nodded again. He knew what she meant. That's why he often made jokes of his past, and didn't say anything more. His stomach rumbled, and he grinned.
"I know what you mean, babe, but I'm getting pretty hungry. Got any food?"
He teased her slightly, breaking the sad mood. He raised his eyebrows, and rose to his four paws, looking at her eagerly.

"I know what you mean, babe, but I'm getting pretty hungry. Got any food?" Remus broke the sad mood. Wth a grin Sacred stood, stretched and then looked at him.
"What do you want?" Her cheeky expression had returned, her voice once again like wind chimes. It reminded most of spring.
Sacred was ready to play, and hunt. There was excitment sparkling in her eyes. Although she wasn't the greatest hunter, she was good at distracting the prey, or scaring them.
Sacred grinned at him, stood up and stretched. Remus grinned back.
"What do you want?"
She had a cheeky expression, and her voice was high and excited. Her eyes shone. Remus let out a happy growl, almost like a purr, and moved away.
"Well, whatever suits your fancy,"
He began to move through the forest, his pawsteps light. He knew Sacred would follow. Now they were friends. They weren't just games anymore. It was a friendly relationship, and they were probably going to hunt together.
He followed his nose, the smell of prey managed to rouse him, and he followed it. In front of him was a pregnant deer. He stared at it for a moment, when suddenly, a buck came out after it. That was better.
"Sacred! Look at that!"
He whispered to not scare the creatures, and glanced back at them. Reus remained unnoticed.

Sacred's eyes brightened and a slight growl escaped her throat at the sight of the buck. She looked over at Remus, with a grin, she slid into the bushes and crept along on her underbelly, hoping he would get that she was going to scare it towards him, so he could take the final kill.
Watching the deer with interest, Sacred waited patiently fro Remus to get into a good position, and for the right moment to surprise the massive creature. Her eyes alert and listening for the slightest sound.
"Get ready.." She whispered, crawling ever so slightly forward.
Her muscles tensed, the sun was in a perfect spot to blind the animals when they hurried towards Remus, hoping for an escape route, along with making the animals lazy from the heat that blazed from it. Soft was the grass that Sacred laid on, it tickled her belly, flicking her gaze towards Remus, hoping to see him ready, at the end of it, it was up to him to make the final move, of course she would help out, and maybe get a couple good bites on him too, but this plan was ment for him to give the death shot.
