The Beginning

Skyler bends her head for a drink. The water cleaning her paws. She looks threw the cracks in the trees and noticed it was getting dark. Her search for Stella had to go on pause. Skyler sighs and pads over to a tree. She digs out a good little den. Just somewhere she could sleep. She crawls in and puts her tail over her nose. She falls asleep quickly. Her aching paws relax.

She was a pup again. Her bright blue eyes looking at the scenes she was in her fathers mouth. She heard her mother with her siblings behind her. She could here the paws behind her stop. Suddenly everything was grass. Flowers scattered around. It was beautiful! "Daddy, where are we going?" Skyler barked and looked up at her dad. His green eyes where beautiful. He set Skyler down in the middle. It started to drizzle. Skyler shivered. "You need to promise me something." her father, Jason said. Skyler nodded looking at him. "I need you to stay strong. Never give up. Understand?" Jason asked. "I understand. Where are you going?" Skyler asked as he began to turn around. "And one more thing. Stay right here." Jason said. He licked her head and walked away. "Daddy." Skyler barked. He didn't even look back. He disapeared into the tree line. Everything was quiet. Skyler heard noises. Scary noises. "Daddy! Mommy!" Skyler barked. She began to howl. Silence. It started raining. She ran under a bush for cover. "Daddy!" she barked all n night. She began whinning. "Daddy!" she cried out. No one came. Suddenly there was a wolf head in the entrance of the bush. Skyler's heart raised. "Where is your family, young one?" the wolf asked. "I-I don't know." Skyler sniffled. Her bright blue eyes filled with tears. The wolf stared at her. "You have some beautiful eyes. What is your name?" the wolf asked. "Why do you care?" Skyler snapped. She didn't know her name. The wolf chuckled. "One tough pup we have here." the wolf said. "I am not going to hurt you. It's alright." the wolf said. "My name is Stella." She said laying down. "I-I don't have a name." Skyler said shyly. "OH, that should change." Stella smiled. "I'm going to call you Skyler." Stella said. "For your eyes. They remind me of the sky." she said. She came into the bush and curled up around Skyler. "I will protect you." she said quietly. Skyler turned around and found a teat to suckle on. She didn't want milk though. She wanted blood. She curled up and fell asleep.
