"Why did he have to leave me now?" The tall, harmless maiden asked fearfully, her amber eyes filled with wet tears. After his last beating on the poor maiden, Farkas ran off and managed to get himself murdered brutally, although Mausi had no idea. She found his bloody carcass, and had ran off, until she found herself on a long beach with driftwood and other parts washed up along the edges. Once she reached it, the frail maiden turned around to nudge her abdomen, her body swollen and bruised. She was bruised, scratched and scarred from Farkas, but her abdomen was swollen from pups, that were to be born soon. Of course, she was fearful for what it would bring her without help, but she may be able to find some along the way. She let out a sad, howling song, hoping there was another wolf in hearing range that could answer her hopeless call.
Hearing the sad call, Makato's ears perked. Sniffing the air, he followed the scents direct, hoping the wolf would call out again. Searching the deep, but light forest, Makato weaved his way through trees and bushes, looking for any trace that a wolf had been here.
A pungent stench filled the air, his calm expression changed into a sick one. What is that awful smell? As Makato got closer to the source, the air doubled in stench. Makato was to busy trying to hold onto his lunch, when he almost stepped on the remains of something..... It was to ripped apart to tell. Walking to the other side, Makato could make out a wolf tail and ears. That was about all that was recognizable. What did you do to end up with this fate? Makato's mind wandered over some of the possibilities, to gruesome to say aloud. Quickly shaking the images from his mind, Makato started to walk off in the direction he had been going, still searching for the owner of the lonely words. Not wanting to call out, just in case it was a trapped he didn't want to turn out like the other wolf, Makato sped out of the slaughtered wolves cent range, he then breathed through his nose again, gulping in clean air. Continuing on, Makato lifted his muzzle to the air, catching a scent from the slight breeze, he then promptly put his nose to the ground and followed the scent.
Just as Mausi was about to give up and accept her pups fate, the whiff of another wolf caught her nose. She could smell him, not far off, by Farkas' corps. She shuddered in fear for the other wolf, terrified of what would happen if she were to be framed by this wolf. She shook the thoughts from her head as she hobbled into the forest toward the scent of wolf. Suddenly, she was nose to nose with a bright orange wolf. A surprised gasp escaped Mausi's lips, and she jumped back. "Oh my! I'm so sorry! Please don't beat me!" the dove murmured quietly, shielding her face and her swollen abdomen.
the past is a wonderful place to visit, but not to stay
Makato was nose to nose with a bruised female wolf, he let out alittle eep from shock. She had cowered and begged him not to beat her. Was she the one responsible or the slaugtered wolf? How though? Makato studied her and then responded. "Are you responsible for the murdered wolf? I wont hurt you if you tell the truth." There was no emotion in his voice, although you could tell it was sincere. Studing her, he prepaired to fight if nesseccary. He looked over her body, their was barely any muscle! She was thin, except for her overly, fat and swollen stomach.... Then it clicked in. She was pregnant! He resisted the urge to ask the she-wolf if she needed anything. It hurt him to see her like this, but he kept it out of his expression. "Answer me."
At the moment she feared most, her fear came true. She was accused of being a murderer. Disbelief covered her face. "Do I look like I could've done that? Look at me; I'm pregnant and beaten. He always beat me and got me pregnant, I wouldn't kill him because as much as he hurt me, I needed him for my pups. And now, I have no one," The she-devil snapped, her emotions taking over. The pups were squirming in her womb, and she knew she was due any time now. Frustration over took her, her optics filling up with tears as she lowered herself to the ground in pain. Her abdomen hurt bad, to the point she was crying. Her body shivered as a cold wind flung the clouds across the skies, the trees swaying enormously in the harsh winds. "What the h**l is going on?!" the terrified maiden whimpered in fear.
OoC: PUPPIES!
the past is a wonderful place to visit, but not to stay
Even though Makato knew it was unlikely he had to ask her. He didn't want to help a gruesome murder. "I'm sorry.... I had to ask. Are you okay? Can you walk?" He looked around, making sure the coast was clear, he layed down next to her, hoping to give the she-wolf some warmth. Makato studied her visage, as if the answer to his questions would be in there. Letting his long fur cover some of her stomach and legs. Watching her expression change from sadness, to pain. Although he just met her, Makato had sympathy for the femme. His orbs searched her body for any wounds that needed immediate care. Placid! Placid would know what to do. She would be leaping with joy. New pups in the pack and another female! Placid would help. I hope.... An idea struck Makato, but he would let the she-wolf answer his questions first.
Visage twisted with pain, the weak femme felt the tears pricking at her eyelids. Can she walk? Although she knew the chances were slim, she attempted to stand, her body aching before she collapsed again. She shook her dial, unable to force the lyrics through her clenched jaws. If she could get the words out, it would be a miracle. All she could do was shake her head.
