Longs legs moved her sleek body forward along the beach. She didn't know why but she had gotten tired of being lonely. Her days were very much the same. Nothing new and always the same. Sure she wanted a home but she just wasn't being called to one of the pack's yet. Her short bush tail waved casually from left to right as the water touched her paws and then went back out. Golden brown orbs searched the beach for signs of life. She stopped seeing some wood wash up along the edge by the strong currents. Padding over not much interested she looked at it and saw something shining slightly up under it in the sand.
Pricking her ears she took her paw and scratched at the sand and soon a shell popped out. A pretty, shiny white and pink shell. Shira smiled a bit then turned away going to a large group of rocks. Leaping on top she looked out toward the water the sun was starting to set and it was her best time of day. But she only wished she had a companion to spend it with. Sighing she plopped down her body crossing her paws and layed her head on them looking out to the setting sun. Her eyes shining brightly as if she would cry. Then she closed her eyes breathing in as she dozed off as water sprayed gently against the rocks and on her fur.
The warm sand offered a sweet relief to the wary wolf's aching paws. Fenrir let out a sigh, closing his eyes in content. Oh, this was a lovely place and how lucky that he had found it. He had been walking for so long, he thought he would never find his way out of the deep woods he had been traveling through. The open sky and water was a welcomed change from the dark, closed in forest. As much as he loved a walk in the woods, he had lost track of the amount of time he had been wandering, and had grown tired of the same setting. That being said, he was not much of a water-wolf, but he always loved to try new things. Perhaps he might enjoy swimming. Perhaps. This area was a bit too rocky though, and he feared it may irritate his already throbbing paws. With a sense of renewed strength, Fenrir set out along the shore at steady trot, searching for a more suitable entrance to the water.
As Fenrir padded along the shore, he was able to catch a scent of the wind that made him stop dead in his tracks. Wolf! Another wolf is here! With a slight tail wag, he set out at a lope down the beach, assuming he would eventually run into the other wolf. It was killer on his paws, so he shifted far enough into the water so his paws were covered, and cooled. As the aching in his paws subsided he noticed the form of another wolf, jumping up on to a rock pile. Fenrir couldn't remember the last time he had seen another wolf, this truly was an exciting day. Hopefully, the stranger was friendly, and not intimidated by his large size.
Nearing the rock pile, Fenrir slowed to a walk, panting slightly. He thought it best to call out to the stranger, to make sure he didn't seem like he was trying to be a sneak, or anything. "Hello! I hope you don't mind me intruding. I've been traveling for a long time, and it would be very nice to have some company." Fenrir made sure to keep his head and tail low as he spoke, to show the stranger he was not a threat.
A sad sigh escaped Makato's maw, as he walked down the mountain. In fact he was walking right beside the path he had used to carry Mausi up to the Mountain Pack. Although he couldn't bear to trot along it without her, it gave him some comfort to know that her memory remained. Sunlight breached the wall of trees, knowing he was close to the beach Makato set out in a jog, hoping the rushing waves would clear his mind.
Reaching the forests border, Makato leaned his red-orange body half way out, breathing deeply as his caramel orbs scanned the rocky waters. Movement flickered towards the bottom of the beach. Squinting against the sun, he made out two lone figures, one large brute loping towards, a lying femme. Studying the male, it was easy to tell his intents weren't cruel. Watching for a moment, curiously waiting to see what the femme would do when the large brute began talking to her. If it was a romantic occasion for them, he would leave them be and walk back up to his den, if it wasn't then maybe he would make himself known and talk to the strangers.
"Hello! I hope you don't mind me intruding. I've been traveling for a long time, and it would be very nice to have some company." she heard and turned her right ear towards the voice as the scent hit her nose. A male...'Like always' she thought giving a small sight. But lifting her head and looking at him he was a rather large grey male. Looking him over quickly she then said "Well...company is always good to have around..." Releasing a small yawn she stood up and stretched popping her muscles and then leaped to the sand softly. "I wouldn't mind some company as well. I, myself have been wandering for a long time." she said softly. Sitting back on her haunches she let her golden orbs go out toward the sunset. Which was just about gone being replaced by the darkness and stars. "My name's Shira by the way but you can call me Shi pronounced Shy" It was the nickname her adoptive brothers gave her. Oh how she missed them as well as their mother. Her bright eyes went back to the male as she said "So what brings you out here?" Shira was curious of why all males seemed to be in the same place as her. The last time she met a male or well two it was in some caves. She would've been on good terms with them if they hadn't been so....smart mouthed and so determined. It was only right to ask what another was doing out and about for her now.
The wind shifted direction and was now blowing from the forest and she breathed in catching another male but pushed it way and stood up walking toward the water and feeling the waves rush past her paws and then go back out.
(OOC: Sorry it's short I was kinda hoping for one male reply)
The other wolf in front of him seemed friendly enough, and didn't seem at all phased by his presence. A female, no less. Better be extra polite, after all, that was custom with she-wolves. Fenrir smiled warmly as the female, Shi, introduced herself. "A pleasure to meet you, Shi, my name is Fenrir." He replied, bowing his head slightly out of politeness. Fenrir followed her gaze to the sunset, which was quite breathtaking. He had never seen a sunset over the beach before, and it sure was fantastic, mesmerizing even. If this whole region was like this, he could definitely see himself settling down here. Visions of romping on the beach filled his mind and he felt his imagination taking him away.
Shi's voice snapped Fenrir back to reality, "So what brings you out here?" Fenrir pondered her question a bit, trying to figure out the simple, quick answer. "I've been looking for a new home, and I happened to stumble upon this lovely place. What about yourself? You mentioned you had also been wandering?" He asked, taking a few steps so his paws were once again in the water. As Fenrir spoke to Shi, the thought occurred to him that he had perhaps wandered into a pack's territory. He hadn't smelled any markers but then again, he also hadn't smelled her either. So long as they were friendly, it would actually be quite fortunate if he had walked right into pack territory. After all, his overall goal was to find his own pack and start a new life. Fenrir inhaled the breeze, trying to catch the scent of other wolves on Shi, wondering if she might be part of a pack. As he inhaled, did catch the scent of another wolf. A male, but it wasn't a lingering scent on Shi, he was somewhere else on the beach. Fenrir looked around, trying to spot the new wolf. There. He noticed the wolf a ways away from them. He couldn't tell if the strange male was planning anything. Perhaps he was Shi's friend. She definitely didn't look alarmed, he didn't know if she even knew the other wolf was there. "Hm. Seems we are not alone. Do you know that wolf?" Fenrir motioned toward the male, watching Shi for any signs of recognition or any sort of negative reactions.
Makato silently listened to the others converstaion, trying to determine what their relationship was. It seems they don't know each other. Watching the wolves, Makato wondered if he should just walk away, studying the possibilities.
As a light breeze past the unknown brute took a deep breath, then looked towards where Makato stood, then mentioned something to the femme. His orange coat stuck out when he stood next to the trees, he watched the brutes movements to see if he was a danger to him. Giving a slight nod, to let them know he knew his presence was ackknowledged, and to say he wasn't a threat. Taking a step backwards, to leave, then reconsidered. What if they were looking for a pack? Placid was always looking for new members...
Shaking his dome, Makato walked towards the other wolves, and stopped within 15 feet. His red-orange coat glistening in the sun. Caramel eyes looked first at the brute, then the femme. "My apoligise if I am intruding, my name is Makato." His gaze flickered on the sea then back to the wolves before him.
She nodded to the male as he said that his name was Fenrir. Her eyes went back to the waves and then heard him say she had been wandering for what reason. Shrugging she said "I guess the same as you. Looking for a place where I can belong." Her mind drifted off to the male, Remus for a moment then she shook her head clear as Fenrir said "Hm. Seems we are not alone. Do you know that wolf?"
Turning her head she looked toward the tree-line spotting the male and said "I'm afraid I do not" as he came out and said "My apoligise if I am intruding, my name is Makato." She smirked nodding to Makato and said "Oh quite alright. It's nice to meet you Makato, my name's Shira and this is Fenrir"
Makato looked at the femme, Shira she had said her name was. Then to Fenrir. "Those are nice names. I overheard that you to were both wanderers, well there is a-" Interrupted by the Alpha, Yiska's, howl. With a quick glance over his shoulder, Makato turned back to Shira and Fenrir. "It seems I am needed, it was nice meeting both of you, I hope you find a place to stay." With that Makato nodded politely and trotted towards the woods, and his pack.
It was good to know that he was not alone in his quest for belonging. He smiled at Shi, the feeling growing that they were going to get along quite well. Fenrir's thoughts were quickly interrupted by the introduction of the strange male. He nodded politely at the new wolf, Makato, as Shi introduced the two of them. "Hello. Nice to meet you." It quickly occurred to him that Makato had the sent of multiple wolves upon him, as if he were part of pack. Excited by the thought, Fenrir went to ask the wolf, when a distant howl silenced him. "It seems I am needed..." Well, it looked like Fenrir was correct on his assumption about Makato being a part of a pack. As the other male retreated to the woods, Fenrir considered following him. He glanced at Shi, then back to Makato. It would be rather rude of me to leave. Instead, Fenrir made a mental note of the direction Makato was headed in. Perhaps he would track is scent later, if he was interested. "So long Makato, perhaps we will meet again!" He called as the distance between them increased.
Turning back to Shi, Fenrir chuckled a little. "Well. I guess it's just back to the two of us." It was nice to know that there was pleasant company in this land. He was always worried about meeting wolves who were less than desirable to talk to. Lost in thought for a moment, the grey male looked out at the sunset once more. Fenrir took a few more steps out into the water, the level now just below his elbows. Suddenly a thought struck him. Grinning, Fenrir looked to Shi once more. "Hey. Do you swim?" As lovely as it was to have a pleasant chat, he hadn't had a good romp with a friend since his puppy days. Well, he and Shi weren't exactly friends, they had just met. But hey, this was how friendships started, right?
