Him and his brothers and sister were already growing fast. Each day brought on new challenges, new events, and new lessons learned. His siblings and parents were bound to the circle of life as a wolf, and each one of them was already learning new things that would shape them as adults. Life was already taking shape and forming Bausil a path to walk along, one that he had been aware of since day one. Well, perhaps not day one; he was only a little whelp on day one.
He was still small, but he had shot up like a root in the first months that had passed. His paws were still too big for his body and his head was still babyish and round. But his back legs had begun to put some muscle into themselves and his ears were growing longer to fill out his large head. The soft fur he had been whelped with was beginning to fall out and coarser fur was starting to take it's place. He had already gone and had his first small hunt, taking home a rabbit as his prize. His light green eyes were always looking, always watching. But something that had already been instilled in him from a young age was his future role as the alpha. Or, at least, a high probability of it.
He was the son of an alpha pair. He was also the eldest son. What was to become of him? Some would call him a worry wart. His siblings said he was no fun, but Bausil knew they just didn't get yet. One day they were going to be adults, and he needed to start acting like it. He strolled through the woods and the small pool of water at the base of the waterfall, taking his time in placing his paws down in the liquid. He was a thinker, no one could deny that. Bausil wasn't really much of a talker, and liked the quiet better than being in loud groups. But his family knew he was intelligent, and they never underestimated him, despite his quiet disposition. He sighed softly, stretching his spine out and shaking out his fur from the small droplets of water that had collected on the back of his neck. He wasn't expecting anyone to find him here.
